Can my landlord enter my unit without permission in BC?
No. Your landlord must give you at least 24 hours’ written notice before entering your rental unit, except in emergencies. The notice must state the reason and time of entry, and it must be between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. You have the right to privacy and quiet enjoyment of your home. Learn more here (opens in a new tab).
This response assumes that the RTA applies to your tenancy. See “Does the Residential Tenancy Act apply to my situation?”
